Welcome to Spamexx

Spamexx is an e-mail security gateway: it sits between the internet and your mail server, checks every incoming message for spam and viruses, and only delivers clean e-mail. Anything suspicious goes to quarantine instead of the inbox.

How it works

1. Accept – Spamexx receives e-mail for your domains via SMTP (your MX record points to Spamexx).
2. Inspect – several modules score sender, content and attachments through multi-layer spam and virus checks.
3. Verdict – viruses are rejected, spam goes to quarantine, everything clean is delivered to your destination server.

First steps

• Add a domain and switch the MX record (see next article).
• Define the mailboxes to protect.
• Review the quarantine and maintain sender lists.
